I wanted to be on time for work today; I have to be at work at 7:00 am. I left home at 6:30am with a 15 minute commute. Did I make it on time? Absolutely not. I had the urge to get some coffee. I located a Dunkin that was too far out( I knew I was going to be late but I didn’t want to be too late). I decided to randomly pick a coffee shop. I am so glade I did because I stumbled across a quirky bar by the name of Nervous Dog Cafe Bar.
I walked in and traveled to an old Irish pub. I was greeted by the barista and a lady sitting at the bar stool (I assume she worked there too). My barista was super attentive and friendly. We even engaged in small talk, and she mentioned how she lived over seas for four years as a bartender. She suggested I try one of her their seasonal specialty drinks.
I explained that I was creating a matcha blog, and she suggested I try the salted caramel matcha. This matcha was completely different from usual preference(a matcha on the sweeter/diabetic side). The main focus of this matcha was not the caramel flavor(the caramel flavor was very subtle). I found myself focusing on the freshness of the matcha. I made a call back to the manager of the store to ask what type of matcha they used and to my discovery this is a culinary matcha created by Harney and Sons.
